A SAD DAY FOR THE HURT FAMILY

To the faithful Friends, Fans, nay- Family of HURT:

The immense blessings with which my being has been graced for the last three years as the bass player for HURT are, by most standards, immeasurable and by my simple mind- incomprehensible. But of all the fortune that has flooded my way from HURT, the most rewarding, by far, has been the undying support, the indefatigable spirit and eternal thanks my humble self has received from YOU, the Listeners, the HURT Fans, the HURT Family. That is why it is with a heavy heart that I announce my resignation from my place beside the three men I have come to Love as brothers. The experiences of the last three years have changed my Life and forged me into the man I am today. Unfortunately, however, I now see the road diverging before me and I know in my heart that I must part ways with my musical brethren to pursue my own Art- Acting, Directing and Writing. It has been an honor to serve beside such incredible warriors but I know my battle lies elsewhere and I am needed there. I know for some of you this may bring both shock and disappointment and I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me. This period of my Life is quite bittersweet; while there is great joy and sense of purpose derived from following my true calling in theatre and film, I simultaneously mourn the loss of my future as a part of the juggernaut that is HURT- for fear not, my friends, as never in my Life have I been privy to such fortitude, such determination, such will to share their souls as resides in the hearts and minds of the men of HURT. They will carry on; they will prevail. They will continue to bring the sweet ecstasy of Music to you, the beneficiaries of their release. The fury of J.'s voice will continue to stupefy, the thunder of Evan's drums will continue to pound, the expertise of Paul's guitar will continue to enthrall and the Truth of HURT's message will ring out now and forever. The only difference is I will now have the privilege and thrill of experiencing HURT's Music as a Fan, a Friend and, yes, always as Family.

Thank You for Listening,

Joshua Ansley"

Gary Gygax July 27, 1938 – March 4, 2008

Body: It's a sad day for geeks everywhere.

Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons and one of the fathers of tabletop role-playing games, died on Tuesday at the age of 69. He had suffered from heart problems.

The news was first announced on the message board of Troll Lord Games, the publisher of Gygax's most recent works. It has since been directly confirmed by the company, which will post an announcement on its Web site later Tuesday.

Gygax was best known for helping create Dungeons & Dragons and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. He also pioneered tabletop role-playing games. The first D&D rulebooks were released in 1974 by TSR, and since then have produced three full-fledged sequels, numerous revisions and updates, and dozens upon dozens of additional rulebooks, settings, and campaigns. While Gygax hadn't had much direct involvement with D&D for many years, he developed and contributed to many role-playing games, including Troll Lord Games' Gary Gygax's Fantasy Worlds.

If not for his contributions, video games and geek culture would probably look much different than it does today. Beyond jokes about "d20s" and "saving throws," D&D's systems and mythos have spawned many excellent games, including Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment.

Dungeons & Dragons continues to develop. Since TSR was purchased by Wizards of the Coast, the game has seen even more expansions and updates. The company released Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition in 2000, and Dungeons & Dragons 4.0 is scheduled to ship in June. Though he didn't actively produce the latest editions of the game, neither they nor the countless video games, books, and other media that carry the D&D name would have been possible without him

So i got my copy of Capture Cincinnati today, and after flipping most of the way through the book i had decided that i had not been published in the book and that i had only made it onto the CD (every photographer has at least one on the cd) and at this point im was happy to have a a picture that was on the cd and my name in the back of the book... i was like hell yea this is one heck of a start and i should be proud of myself and i was. so i flip through the rest of the book and then i get to page 112 and there it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY Photo in black and white in all of its glossy Glory!!

I dont know about anyone else but 2007 has been a kick ass year for me, first with my first gallery and now ive been published!

I could cry right now, all that i have ever wanted was to be seen as a true artist and to have people view my work.

so thanks to all of you that help me not to freak out too much when i did my first show, and thank you for helping me believe that this could happen!
